There will be blood

Let's talk gore, and by gore I mean SAW.
I previously published a little bit about these films. It happens to be my ultimate favorite series of any other series ever made, simply because when most movies have a series, the film stops making sense or it gets cheesier or it's just plain boring. I think that SAW is one of the most incredible series I've ever seen.
Like in any series, there are some that I adore more than the others. SAW II, V and VI are the three out of the six that I love most, and I'm about to take them all up.
I will be providing you with images of these films to show you why I love them. If you have not yet seen these movies, be warned, these images may make you shreik.

SAW II
What I love particularly about this movie, is that it beats the first one and it shows its potential more. I love especially how it introduces its first group game. There are eight people trapped in one house and they have been breathing in a deathly gas which will kill them in two hours, but the door will open in three hours. Scattered around the house are traps set for certain people and each trap contains one antidote.

In this image, we see a man with a bloody eye, wearing what appears to be a death mask around his neck. Inside the mask, sticking up are very thick, long nails. This scene is showed at the very beginning of the movie. It is a man who has done some wrong in his life, and now in order to save his life, he must attempt to reach the key in time which has been surgically placed behind his eye before the device around his neck snaps and penetrates his head with many nails, killing him instantly. This trap is very clever along with all the others, but I like how it's one person only in this scene.

In this picture, we can see Amanda Young, a previous victim in the first SAW movie. Encase you have not seen this short trap scene, Amanda was wearing a head cage that would snap her jaw apart if she was not able to unlock the contraption in time. The key to unlock the device had been placed in the stomach of her awake, but paralyzed lover, and as anyone would, she panicked, and then freaked out and took the scatchel on the floor, stabbing her love again and again to tear out his stomach, and take out the key. This image however, shows Amanda Young placed inside a pit of needles. This trap was not exactly designed for her, but for another who decided he would get someone else to do the job for him. The task was to find the green syringe amongst all the yellow ones, for it contained the key to a door that held an antidote.

SAW V
Three movies later, SAW V was born. This is also a group game, but unlike the second movie, this group game relies closely upon each and every victim but unfortunately they do not realize this until the final trap. Meanwhile, however, as this trap game goes on, there is a lot of realization processing in the background that relates to the previous movies. You really have to watch all of the movies in order to understand the more recent ones.

As you can see in this image, there are three people in the room, only one is not alive. Originally, the game started off with five people who had been told that all of them were linked together somehow. Foolishly, they end up killing one another off until two are left. Here they are killing off their last victim by placing her in a bathtub full of water and attatching five electrical cords to her feet, hands and her head in order to open the next door.

This picture is of the following trap in the next room. There are five boxes in the middle of the room with a hole through them, inside are blades and below the boxes is a beaker. As you can guess by the picture, the victims are supposed to put their arms in the holes, and get cut by the blades. Unfortunately they have to do this in order to open the door or else the room will forever be their prison.

SAW VI
This movie is the most recent so far, until SAW VII comes out this October. This one is not a group game, but a journey game, similar to the third and fourth movies. There is one man who owns, I think a healthcare business but he turns down those who are terminally ill or have families. When he gets put in this game, he comes into contact with a few strangers and each stranger sets off a trap that he must go through and decide if their life is worth saving.

This is the beginning scene. There are two people in two separate caged rooms that are facing each other. Between the two rooms there is a scale, and on the walls closest to it are two tubes that are attatched to both rooms. Both of the victims are wearing a device on their head that is times to drill through their skull every 30 seconds. In each of the rooms, there is a table that holds many fierce looking instruments. The objective is to weigh down the scale more than the other by cutting off parts of your body before the device on your head drills through your brain.

This scene is during the man's journey; it is his first task. As you can see there are two people in the room, the one out of focus is the main character. If you look closely you can see that around their torsos are two metal or stone blocks, and on their faces are oxygen masks. The man who is in focus is a heavy smoking janitor who he had turned down for healthcare. Both of these victims have to take a deep breath in, but once they breathe out and take another breath, the blocks on either side of their bodies closes in slowly. You can only guess who survives if the main man is competing against a smoker.

I never did like scary movies, they just creep me out. I do prefer action movies though as I find them exciting and overall just a lot of fun to watch. Also I really like the background of your blog. Great read and can't wait for more posts!
